Obviously any time is good to travel, but there are some better dates for sure. And Prague during spring is in my opinion one of the best possible options! Why is that?
There’s flowers everywhere!
I’m not lying about that one. It seems like almost every tree and bush come to life and blossom with pink, yellow, white and red flowers. It’s not just in the streets though. There are certain places where you can enjoy the wonderful smell and a great view of spring blossoms. Petrin Hill is one of them. This hill has a fenicular taking you to the top, so if you feel lazy you don’t need to climb it. On top of it you will find “The Baby Eiffel Tower” which is called Petrinska rozhledna and it’s a tower that provides the best view for the city from it’s viewing terrace. And the best thing that all of this hill is covered with cherry, almond and wild cherry trees. They all look and smell amazing in the spring! Wait, this isn’t over! There are rose gardens in all of the city too! Petrin Hill has it on top (7 800 different kinds of roses), by the viewing tower and the biggest park in the city too! Stromovka is a park located in the center and it’s really big, it has a little palace next to which is another beautiful rosarium. Don’t miss it!
Much less crowds!
The blessing and the curse of Prague is it’s stunning beauty. Everybody wants to see this city and so there are always wild crowds of tourists in the city center. But when it’s spring you can actually enjoy walking around the center too! All the people waiting for the summer to begin haven’t arrived yet, so you can have the wonderful view for the Prague Castle of the Charles Bridge all to yourself. Insider’s tip- wake up early if you wanna get perfect photo opp at the Charles Bridge- there’s noone there at 7 AM!
Perfect weather!
It’s not too hot and not too cold. The sun is shining most of the time and the fresh spring air makes you wanna stay out longer. Being outside and just strolling around this gorgeous city is the best activity you could pick. Prague is relatively small so there’s no need for a bus or a tram, since you can easily walk everywhere on foot. Use the best way of transportation- you own pair of legs- it’s free and very satisfying!

One to mają zdrowie…
